The Stony Brook University Sailing Team was founded in the late 1970s, went on hiatus, and was revived in 2011 by a group of students. Today, the team operates a fleet of eleven Flying Junior (FJ's) and two 420's based at Port Jefferson Yacht Club, competing in the Mid-Atlantic division of ICSA against varsity programs throughout the Northeast. The team welcomes sailors of all skill levels, from competitive high school veterans to complete beginners, balancing competitive racing with opportunities for anyone in the SBU community to learn sailing.

Saturday No practice

Note: pickups are 15 minutes before practice time. You can come to as few or as many practices as you like.
To come to practice, use the sheet sent weekly in the GroupMe group chat to sign up. Spots are limited, especially for those who need a ride to Port Jeff.
